- Firstly, backup your data stored on your MacBook as you may lose the data after refurbish. Buy an external hard drive to save the important data on it.
- Make a note of malfunctioning and missing parts of your MacBook. To upgrade any component, take help from MacBook Technical Support or you can contact service provider if it is in warranty period.
- Remove and replace the missing and malfunctioning components with the new one. Take help form manual guideline or browse on the internet to find all instructions in detail.
- Now, it’s time to restore the system using your OS X Install discs.
- Clean the display, keyboard and other parts of your laptop. Use a little damp cloth to remove dust from it.
- Once this is done, you have to confirm your refurbished laptop by launching the Apple Hardware Test. To do this, boot your MacBook and instantly press D key on the keypad just after start-up. When prompted, go to “Perform extended testing” option from the list of menu. When it is done the results will show and you can again reboot your system.
